Here is the news that you have all eagerly been waiting for………..
The AGM is going to be held on Wednesday 17th January at the Garforth Leisure Centre, to commence promptly at 7pm. Food and trophy presentations to follow in the Miners after from 8.30pm.
The change from a Monday is due to the lack of an available room at the Leisure Centre on Mondays now.
The proposals that the Committee will be putting up for discussion at the meeting are as follows:-
Full Membership – to discuss an increase of £1 to take into account the increase in the England Athletics costs. You will recall that this was mentioned at last year’s AGM when England Athletics had announced a £1 per increase for the next four years. This year is the second of those four years.
Social Membership – to discuss an increase of £5 in the cost of social membership from £10 to £15 to take into account the increase in overall costs of events put on by the Club.
If there are any proposals that you would wish to make you will need to let us know 21 days before the date of the AGM.
Finally for those of you who haven’t voted yet for the Runner of the Year, please email your vote to the lovely Viv who has volunteered to assist with the counting of the votes so that the result is the usual surprise – Vivienne.Watson@roberts-mart.co.uk. Deadline for voting is 31 December to enable us to get the trophy engraved in readiness for the AGM.
Could you please be sure to let us know whether you will be attending the AGM, afterwards for food, just for food, or not at all.
